PiLas Specifications

  • All given wavelengths are examples. If you do not find your requested wavelength do not hesitate to contact us. As an option we will try to select diodes with the requested wavelength (PILxxx SWS).

  • As an option we can select diodes with shorter pulses or higher peak power (PILxxxSPS). Please ask our specialists.

  • A complete PiLas system consists of controller (EIG), the optical head and the optics.

  • The optical heads are interchangeable to get different wavelengths with one EIG. However, the heads can not be exchanged between drivers with 1 MHz or 100 MHz repetition rate.

  • In case of questions, we can simulate the beam propagation and recommend the most suitable combination of optics.

  • If you inform us about your application, we will find out the best solution.

Optical Head with laser diode (up to 1 MHz)

  • Typical parameters – please ask for special requests
  • There are some additional wavelengths available. Because of the different resonant structures of DFB / DBR – lasers the optical jitter can be much larger than the typical 3 ps in Fabry-Perot lasers. Please contact us before ordering.
  • The laser system (head and driver) belongs to laser class 1 shown in the column "Laser Safety Information".
