Reliable performanceDiode laser protection is one of the major functions of diode laser drivers: A lot of investigations were done to realize the best and safest solutions: AC-line filters, transient suppression, watch-dog and monitoring of all relevant parameters by a microcontroller. In any case of error, such as exceeding the customer set limits, the current is turned off. The devices have a soft start and switch-off for the diode lasers to avoid oscillations in the customers set up. |

Easy to useAll settings for the current, the current limits, the Peltier cooling, radiation time etc. can be set either on the front panel or via the RS 232 interface. In the pulsed regime the pulse width as well as the pulse period can be set. Actual parameters as well as the settings are shown on a front display. |

All options are already included Within this series, complete microprocessor controlled devices with integrated Peltier cooling boards are available and a RS 232 interface allows the controlling of all parameters by PC, e.g. In addition, DD units can be set to 3 or 6 V pending customer’s request. |

Intelligent SoftwareBy internal software the user has the choice to set all parameters and – if wanted – to set a time limit for the current. In addition, for pulsed operation the pulse width and the pulse period can be chosen by the menu. |

Analogue modulation (only 50 A version) An external analogue modulation input allows precision control of the laser output for a variety of applications. So, by external modulation, sinusoidal, triangular or other pulse shapes are possible.
